We are seeking a passionate and committed Teacher of English to join our successful and collaborative department at St Brendan’s Sixth Form College. This is an excellent opportunity to teach English within a clearly structured post‑16 setting that allows teachers to focus on subject expertise and high‑quality teaching.

The role

In this role, you will deliver high-quality English teaching while supporting students to achieve strong academic outcomes and develop as confident, independent learners. Your responsibilities will include:

• Teaching GCSE English, A Level English Literature and A Level Language and English Literature
• Supporting students to develop confidence, literacy, critical thinking and independent learning
• Contributing to a reflective and high performing English department
• Teaching English as an additional language (EAL) (desirable)
• Teaching other subjects such as Media Studies and/or Film Studies (desirable)

• No tutor group attached to the post
• No routine lunch or break duties
• Pastoral support led primarily by dedicated progress tutors
• Student support sessions are timetabled, not informal or ad‑hoc
• Collaborative planning and shared departmental resources

About you

• You will be enthusiastic about English, committed to inclusive teaching and keen to support young people to achieve their potential.

We are a high‑performing sixth form college seeking a Teacher of Computer Science and IT to join our forward‑thinking department. This role offers the opportunity to focus on subject teaching within a clear, well‑organised college structure.

About the role

• Teaching Computer Science and IT to motivated post‑16 students
• A Level Computer Science (AQA) and IT qualifications including AAQ IT Data Analytics
• A curriculum emphasis on computational thinking, programming, networking and data
• Contribution to enrichment opportunities, including a timetabled Cyber EPQ
