            <p id="isPasted"><strong>Teacher of English - 1 FTE</strong></p><p><strong>Start date - 18 August 2026</strong></p><p>Teach English in a focused sixth‑form environment with motivated students and strong support.</p><p>We are seeking a passionate and committed Teacher of English to join our successful and collaborative department at St Brendan&rsquo;s Sixth Form College. This is an excellent opportunity to teach English within a clearly structured post‑16 setting that allows teachers to focus on subject expertise and high‑quality teaching.</p><p><strong>The role</strong></p><p>In this role, you will deliver high-quality English teaching while supporting students to achieve strong academic outcomes and develop as confident, independent learners. Your responsibilities will include:</p><ul><li>Teaching GCSE English, A Level English Literature and A Level Language and English Literature</li><li>Supporting students to develop confidence, literacy, critical thinking and independent learning</li><li>Contributing to a reflective and high performing English department</li><li>Teaching English as an additional language (EAL) (desirable)</li><li>Teaching other subjects such as Media Studies and/or Film Studies (desirable)</li></ul><p><strong>How the role is structured</strong></p><p>Teaching at St Brendan&rsquo;s is carefully organised to provide clarity, consistency and strong professional support, allowing you to focus on your subject and your students.
