In registering to use our online recruitment system you undertake to provide accurate and current information about yourself, including your correct name, address and any other requested information and to update that as necessary in any subsequent applications.

If you knowingly make any false statements or withhold any relevant information this may result in disciplinary action up to and including dismissal or the withdrawal of any offer of appointment.

General Data Protection Regulations 2018 - Privacy Statement

The personal data that the College collects about you in the recruitment process will be used for the purposes of processing your application and for the compilation of anonymous statistics. The information we collect from your application is used in making initial decisions about short-listing and whether you have the legal entitlement to work in the UK and also invite you to interview / selection events. We do not use any automated bulk pre-selection processes to screen out candidates and every application is considered on its individual merits by a selection panel trained in fair recruitment processes. If your application is successful your data, including sensitive personal data, will be used to form the basis of your future staff record. A separate privacy notice will apply to your data at this point.

All data you provide will be held securely in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations. It will only be disclosed to third parties if necessary, for example to conduct referencing, or to ascertain accuracy; or if there is a legitimate, statutory right to the information.

A basic record of candidates who do not become staff, is retained on our systems for no longer than 12 months.

Sensitive equal opportunities data is collected for the purpose of monitoring the effectiveness of the College’s Equal Opportunities Policy and to provide anonymised statistical reports. This data is not used in the recruitment decision-making process.
